| Tor and Me: me and my little TB child who recovered
after 7 months of treatment |
We're helping Katie Gesto, a nurse working with the Sudan Relief Fund;
she sent us these pictures.Her organization provides food and shelter
for an ever-growing number of orphaned children, many of whom have been
redeemed from slavery (now over 1,200). They also provide psychological
counseling for the formerly enslaved children, medical equipment, used
clothing, food, seeds, blankets, tools, soap and salt (which is desperately
needed to prevent goiters): These are the bare necessities that allow
the persecuted people of Sudan to endure. Many of these items are stored
in Kenya awaiting air-transport to Sudan. Because the Bishop must fly
through a war zone the cost for each flight (2.5 tons of goods) is $18,000.
Additional funds are needed to assist in rebuilding schools and churches
destroyed by the Sudanese government.To learn more or make donation, please
