Gold River has worked with our founder Steve Troy for many years and the founder's son has been learning more about the solar business. He has installed several hundred small solar electric systems including a large system for a bank.

Here are some of Gold River's current plans:

Gold River would like to make readily moveable solar powered computer systems available to the Ministry of Education for use in all village schools. Now, because of the absence of electricity, they have no computer study facilities. The computers may be simple laptops so they can easily move from school to school and facilitate maximum use between schools.

Solar Electric Ceiling-Mounted Reading Lamps for Group Evening Studies in Village Schools

When the above solar/computer plan becomes operative in the proposed schools, it will also become possible to pull sufficient electric power for evening studies lighting in various school locations.

(1) PRE-FINANCE: The group is interested in partly pre-financing the project and hopes the ministry will cover the balance of the payment plan.

System Demonstrations: Gold River will organize one-day demonstrations for government staff, in any village school in the Accra Region, free of all charges.
