Story-telling at it's most fascinating and creative level. Interesting, insightful, and highly entertaining.

The same events described from two highly different yet similar points of view. A good lesson in reasons for having a broader, more open mind.

We see how people frequently evoke irritation, disdain, and even hatred in each other. Then we "go behind the scenes" and discover the humanity and rationale evoking the actions that just a few pages before seemed so reprehensible.

I think the underlying theme of this story is compassion. And while it may not stop many wars or murders, it could at least help prevent family feuds. We vividly see the folly of answering one negative act with another.

All this wrapped in magic, mystery, and challenging psychological puzzles. Deep character development, a rich environmental ambiance, and a story with an edge. Recommended.
