" Greetings, Primates! I have just had the pleasure of visiting your website. Kudos! I especially enjoyed your Top 100 list, as I recognize a lot of my own favourites on it, most notably DUNE (momentis tacet!). I was also glad to see that Poul Anderson was nowhere on the list(I don't care if he hung out with Pohl, Merrill & Asimov- he's still a wanker!). I was surprised not to see F Saberhagen or R Zelazny on the list(unless I missed them, or there's an update that I haven't seen). I am always looking for new authors in the sci-fi genre and your lists are a great help to that end. Question. Have you guys ever considered compiling any international lists i.e. something specific to a certain country? I think it would be cool if more people knew about writers like Gerard Klein(France) or John Christopher(U.K.) or Robert Sawyer (Canada).Keep up the good work!." - Jim Sproule 11/19/97
Actually, Zelazny is on the Top 100 list five time but there is a Poul Anderson or two. Were you talking about the Top 20 list? The Top 100 is mathematically based on an open vote. You can send your own votes in by email (10 best, 0 worst) with the name of the books and authors to tcooke@maths.adelaide.edu.au. I am planning to add more lists but not until I can read and review more of the ones already here. - Steve 11/19/97
"Perhaps I'm just a silly European. But, nevertheless, Jack Vance is number one!" - Unspiek, Baron Bodissey.
