Airlift Water Pumping Windmills |
Use the wind to pump your water! All Airlift windmill packages include everything you need to pump water except tower and water discharge pipe. The Airlift's unique windmill water pump system is capable of pumping up to 30 gallons per minute and has a maximum lift of 315' vertical and 500' horizontal. You can even use more than one windmill to service the same well or one windmill to service different wells. All Airlift water pumping windmill models are designed to be installed by one person in less than a day with no special tools or equipment.

These pumps will aerate and de-ice as part of its water pumping process.
WIND SPEED
Start up speed is 4 to 6 mph. The Airlift will even work with no wind by adding an extra air line attached to an auxiliary powered grid electric, solar or gas air compressor.
HIGH WIND PROTECTION
The auto-furling mechanism used on Airlift's turnout assembly uses a gas charged shock absorber with an internal compression spring, allowing the unit to turn slowly in and out of th wind to prevent whipping. By eliminating extension springs on all models, there is no threat of spring breakage in severe weather.
MAINTENANCE
All moving parts are above ground. The Airlift Windmill Pump is designed without the use of leathers, or plunger type assemblies, therefore, there are no moving parts down in the well that have to be replaced year after year. The only maintenance is to change the oil and clean the filter on the compressor annually. The compressor is on the surface and always accessible for maintenance.
LOCATING THE WINDMILL
Other windmills must be placed over the well, the AIRLIFT water pumping windmill can be placed anywhere the wind blows the best, up to 1/4 mile away for maximum water pumping capabilities, so it is very cost effective.
AERATING AND DEICING
By simply adding a diffuser to the Airlift Windmill water pump, you can aerate and de-ice your pond as a dedicated aerator. An Airlift Windmill also aerates and oxygenates as part of its pumping process. All Airlift Windmill systems are designed to be in operation year round, so there is no need to shut down for the winter.
For cattle ranchers or on the farm, the Airlift Windmill water pump will keep your cattle trough tanks open year round without fear of damage to the Airlift Windmill by freezing unlike the old fashioned windmill.
BLADES
9' or 10' diameter blade span depending on model. All blades are made with 6061-T6 tempered aluminum, each consisting of three layers reinforced to minimize flex in high winds. With such high grade materials along iwth Airlift's cuttig eg windmmill design gives it a 120 mph wind gust rating!
TURN OUT ASSEMBLY AND VANE
Stainless steel or painted-weather resistance steel turn out assembly with side facing shock absorbed auto furling mechanism with internal compression spring controlled by a 5052 aluminum tail vane.
COMPRESSOR
Industrial cast iron slow speed compressor with Timken tapered roller bearings.
Twin cylinder compressor capable of 5 C.F.M.
Four cylinder compressor capable of 10 C.F.M. or 15 C.F.M. depending on model.
PUMP
The unique Airlift Injection Pump can run dry, accepting sand and sludge without harm, and GUARANTEED for life under normal use. Another added benefit of the Airlift Injection Pump is that it tends to oxygenate and purify the water as part of it's pumping process. 4' L. x 3.3" outside diameter air injection pump. Pumps can be made as small as 1-7/8" outside diameter at no extra cost. Positive pumps vary in size depending on application. 3.5", 4.5", 6.0"
